The Historic Lewes Farmers Market (HLFM) is a producer-only farmers market located in Lewes, Delaware, "the first town in the first state."
The HLFM provides a family-friendly, community gathering place where consumers may purchase the freshest local foods available. It also provides alternative educational and marketing opportunities for farmers and others to help create local and sustainable food systems that are environmentally sound, economically viable and socially responsible.

A recent Mail-order Gardening Association survey revealed a 10% or more increase in vegetable seed sales from last year for their member companies. Organic seeds, seeds that were not genetically modified, tomato varieties, and salad greens were reported to be particularly popular.
